I hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, having graduated from OU with a Bachelor
in the Science of Pharmacy and a Master of Science. Although I still maintain my license both in Oklahoma and Texas, I went
into the car business full time in the late 80's, when the advent of Big Box retailers made working for myself in pharmacy
virtually impossible. A life long love of automobiles fueled that decision and I am very fortunate to be able to work at what
I love.
My first serious car building project was in 1957; a chopped and channeled
1930 Ford Model A coupe with a Chevrolet V-8. I drove it from my boyhood home in Amarillo, TX to the Oklahoma City
NHRA National Drag Races in 1958 and competed using a 1956 yellow & black DeSoto convertible as chase car. What fun and
I even had HAIR !

We have been active in the Chickasha Antique Car Club since it's inception in 1969. Perhaps the Club's finest achievement
to date was our restoration of Chickasha's Rock Island Depot, originally constructed in 1910, added to the National Register
of Historic Places in 1985 and returned to it's original glory in the mid 90's, following it's purchase by the Car Club.

Our business, Current Classics, is an American small business in the traditional
sense. My wife joined me full time in our business a few years ago. We still believe that small business is a LARGE part
of what made America great. Everyday we see more evidence that the entire concept of small business is rapidly disappearing
in our country. We, too, hate going into a huge, impersonal box store store where nobody knows anything about what they are
selling. We not only know everything about what we sell but also restore and build cars from the bare frame up, not many car
dealers can honestly say that.
As is the case in all business nationwide, the car business has become very
impersonal and numbers driven. It's all about percentages, volume, document fees and it all boils down to worshiping the almighty
dollar more than people and your product. It's said that a horse trader shouldn't fall in love with their horses and we'd
probably be more profitable if we didn't fall in love with so many of our horseless carriages. We would enjoy spending more
time dealing strictly in collector cars, but besides wanting to keep too many of them, the Oklahoma economy will not support
it. eBay has increased our audience of potential buyers and we hope that our new site will increase it even more.
In addition to collector cars and our sale of quality, everyday
used cars in the local Oklahoma market, in early 2006 we began marketing rebuildable damaged units all over the world via
eBay and the internet, it has already become a large part of our business and we look forward to that aspect of our business
also increasing with the addition of this site. Bill & Demitria McDuff
